Vodafone will open up its 4G network to its 1.5 million prepay mobile customers from December 11.
Telecom will begin offering 4G to both post-paid and prepay customers in parts of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from 11pm tonight.
Vodafone shelved a $10-a-month 4G surcharge that had applied to most post-paid plans last month, also in anticipation of Telecom's launch.
